FY2026 Ehime Prefecture Cycle Hub Facility Renewable Energy Equipment Introduction Support Subsidy

Overview: Ehime Prefecture offers this subsidy under the FY2026 Ehime Cycle Hub Facility Renewable Energy Equipment Introduction Support program, funded through MOE's regional decarbonization transition / renewable energy promotion subsidy. It supports installation of self-consumption solar PV and storage batteries at cycle hub facilities in the prefecture to advance decarbonization. Eligibility: Private operators that install self-consumption solar PV and storage batteries at cycle hub facilities (rental-cycle locations, Cycle Oasis, Cycle Rescue, and other cycling-related sites) located within the eligible-area municipalities of Ehime Prefecture. Joint application is required when delivered via PPA or lease. Municipalities Matsuyama, Imabari, Niihama, Saijo and Kihoku are excluded. Applicants must have no prefectural tax arrears and must not be affiliated with organized crime. Eligible Expenses: Installation work (limited to construction necessary for the subsidized equipment), equipment cost, services/business cost, and other expenses approved by the Governor. Existing-equipment removal/disposal costs are excluded. PV must be non-FIT/FIP, self-consume at least 50% of generated electricity on-site; both PV and battery must be commercially available, with installation track record, and not used. Rates / Caps / Schedule: Solar PV at JPY 50,000 per kW of installed capacity; storage battery at one-third of the battery price (JPY/kWh), capped at one-third of JPY 141,000/kWh (residential <20kWh) or JPY 160,000/kWh (commercial 20kWh+) tax-excluded incl. installation. Portions exceeding cost-efficiency of JPY 250,000/t-CO2 are excluded. Applications: 2026-05-20 to 2026-12-25 (may close early).
