FY2026 Carbon Emissions Survey Support Subsidy (Sabae City)
Summary
①Overview: Sabae City in Fukui Prefecture supports businesses transitioning toward a decarbonized society by subsidizing expenses related to supply chain emissions calculation (Scope 1/2/3) as part of efforts toward carbon neutrality. ②Eligible applicants: Businesses with their principal place of business within Sabae City and engaged in manufacturing or wholesale trade. Applicants must have fully paid municipal taxes; a tax-payment-completion certificate (kannou shoumeisho) is required at the time of application. ③Eligible expenses and content: Eligible costs are honoraria (limited to specialists and lecturers) and consignment fees, typically paid to external experts or contractors who conduct the GHG emissions calculation work. Applications require a subsidy application form, business plan (Form 2), revenue/expenditure budget (Form 3) and the tax-payment-completion certificate. Upon project completion, a results report (Form 10), settlement statement (Form 11) and revenue/expenditure settlement (Form 12) must be submitted. ④Subsidy rate, ceiling, schedule and application points: The subsidy rate is up to 1/2 of eligible expenses, with an upper limit of JPY 300,000. The application period runs from April 1, 2026 to February 26, 2027. After review, the city issues a subsidy grant directive. Changes to the project require Form 5 (modification approval application). The subsidy is paid by bank transfer after the results report has been reviewed.
