FY2025 Supplementary Smart Forestry Introduction Support Project
Summary
① Overview: Saitama Prefecture supports smart forestry investment by forestry operators. ② Eligible applicants: Applicants must be forestry entities registered in Saitama’s forestry business entity ledger. They need at least two technical workers with three months of continuous employment, or continuous NPO activity, and both required safety trainings. ③ Eligible costs and support: Eligible items include ICT forestry machines, cable yarding machines, automatic log sorters, drones, forest 3D measurement, surveying and timber inspection systems, plus training or qualification costs. Spare accessories, leases, rentals, used equipment, and attachments alone are excluded. ④ Rate and schedule: The subsidy rate is up to two-thirds. No explicit per-applicant yen ceiling is stated. The implementation plan is due by June 30, 2026. Work generally starts after the grant decision; exceptions require a prior-start notice, three estimates in principle, and no duplicate subsidy.
