Summary

1. This program supports inbound safety measures under the FY2025 supplementary budget. It helps regions prepare for disasters, sudden illness and medical visits. 2. Eligible applicants depend on the menu. Crisis management planning and training are for local governments. Evacuation and multilingual safety projects may involve tourism facilities, information centers, local governments and DMOs. Medical support covers hospitals and clinics. 3. Covered projects include crisis plans, training, emergency power, disaster drones, heatstroke equipment, multilingual disaster information, medical cashless payment and multilingual hospital guidance. Land, ordinary replacement, consumables, running costs, leases and post-project operating costs are excluded. 4. The normal subsidy rate is up to one half. For the crisis management menu, prefectures and qualifying municipalities may receive up to two thirds, with JPY 5,000,000 cap. Applications run from February 2 to September 25, 2026 at 5 p.m.
