FY2025 Aomori Apple-Related Enterprise Production-Entry Support Subsidy
Summary
①Overview: The FY2025 Aomori Apple-Related Enterprise Production-Entry Support Subsidy partially funds, within the FY2025 budget, the cost of apple production entry by apple-related companies (limited to operators processing Aomori-grown apples for food/beverages or apple-exporting brokers). Established under FY2025 February supplementary budget for implementation from April 2026. ②Eligible applicants: Apple-related companies (exporting/processing) newly entering apple production, falling into one of: (1) corporation HQ/branch in Aomori with ≥5 years processing record of Aomori apples, (2) corporation HQ/branch in Aomori with ≥5 years export-business record of Aomori apples, (3) subsidiary/affiliate established by (1)/(2) for apple production, (4) corporation HQ/branch in Aomori recognized by governor as comparable to (1)/(2), (5) corporation whose apple sales were below production cost (excl. depreciation) in the FY2025 Aomori Apple Processor Apple Production Entry Support project. Limited to entities that have NOT previously grown apples (including those farming <~30 ares). For subsidiary/affiliate setups, the parent must meet the requirements. ③Eligible expenses & benefit content: Eligible expenses for apple production from 2026-04-01 onward on the project orchard (owned or with proper usage rights) — fertilizer, pesticide, utility, materials, equipment rental, personnel (only for those directly engaged, hours × rate). Excluded: (1) accident/disaster handling, (2) consumption tax, (3) costs on orchards already receiving national/prefectural/municipal apple-production support, (4) other unnecessary costs. ④Rate, ceiling, schedule, application pointers: 1/3 of eligible expenses OR project orchard area (rounded down to nearest ar) × JPY 12,000/ar, WHICHEVER LOWER (rounded down to nearest JPY 1,000). Cap JPY 1,200,000 per business. Application: rolling basis (closes when budget exhausted). Submit by mail or email to Aomori Apple-Fruit Tree Division. Variations (orchard, ≥30% reduction, increase) require Form 2; cancellation Form 3. Subsidy paid after project completion (request via Form 4). Implementation report within 30 days of completion or by 2027-04-15 (Form 5). Documents retained 5 years from year following subsidy.
