FY2019 Decarbonization Promotion Project for Resource Recycling
Summary
This subsidy supports Japanese companies' overseas expansion of advanced waste management and recycling technologies to address global environmental pollution from increasing waste generation, contributing to energy-origin CO2 reduction and global environmental conservation. Private corporations headquartered in Japan planning waste collection, transport, intermediate treatment, recycling, final disposal operations, or construction of facilities for these operations overseas are eligible, with priority given to JCM Partner Countries and AZEC Partner Countries. The subsidy covers feasibility study (FS) investigation expenses for overseas business expansion at the preliminary planning stage. Applicants must hold at least one of the following: environmental ministry competitive participation credentials, local government waste management procurement participation qualifications, or waste treatment business permits. The business period runs from the grant decision date through the end of February of the following fiscal year as a single-year program, with completion reports required within 30 days of project completion.
