Fukuyama City Green Business Wage-Increase Environment Improvement Subsidy

A Fukuyama City subsidy effective March 2, 2026, helping local SMEs build a basis for sustainable wage growth amid inflation and labor shortages. The City covers part of capital investment supporting Green initiatives (eco actions, employment of women / disabled / elderly, work-friendly workplaces) to drive wage growth and retention. Applicants: SMEs with a head office or site in Fukuyama City that have applied for the Green Business Challenge Declaration. Eligible forms include SMEs, NPOs, medical / social welfare corporations and cooperatives; quasi-large enterprises excluded. No delinquent taxes, no crime ties, no adult-entertainment business, no reorganization. One application per party. Eligible expenses: machinery / software / IT-system purchases plus lease and cloud-service fees newly contracted in the period. Excluded: consumption tax, general-purpose PCs / tablets, shipping and transfer fees. Lease is pro-rated. Recipients with employees must raise the in-establishment minimum hourly wage by ≥5 yen during the period; those without employees must show YoY income growth in one chosen month. Subsidy rate: up to 2/3 of eligible expenses, capped at JPY 800,000 (truncated below JPY 1,000). Period: Jan 1 – Dec 31, 2026. Required: application form, business / wage-increase plan, budget, pledge, business-existence proof, quotations, payee registration. Within one month of completion, submit performance report, settlement, receipts and wage ledger; the City confirms the final amount after review and inspection.
