Summary

1. Program overview: This Fukuoka City support grant assists local small and medium-sized businesses, including sole proprietors, that have been affected by higher fuel and utility costs. It is designed as an emergency measure to support business continuity and employment retention by subsidizing part of the price-increase impact for fuel and utilities used for business purposes. The relevant usage periods are July to September 2025 and January to March 2026; past periods that were not applied for are not newly covered. 2. Eligible applicants: Applicants must be continuing business at a Fukuoka City office or business location as of the application date and must intend to continue operating. Sole proprietors, taxi operators, medical institutions for their medical portion, and private schools or kindergartens may be eligible if they meet all requirements. Businesses separately covered by the City's other inflation-response support, such as elderly welfare, nursing care, disability welfare, childcare facilities, and subsidized children's cafeterias, are excluded. 3. Eligible costs and support content: Eligible costs are business-use electricity, gasoline, diesel, heavy oil, kerosene, autogas, LP gas, and city gas. Home-office premises and vehicles used partly for private purposes must be prorated by the business-use ratio. Multiple sites are aggregated for one applicant. If the head office is in Fukuoka City, usage at sites outside the city can be included; if the head office is outside the city, only Fukuoka City sites can be included. Fuel bought for resale, company dormitories, commuting fuel, taxi fares, designated management facilities, and water charges are excluded. 4. Rate, cap, schedule, and application points: The support amount is one half of the calculated price-increase impact, obtained by multiplying usage by the City-set unit price for each cost category and by any required proration rate. The cap is 600,000 yen per business in total, including additional applications. The stated unit prices include electricity 0.4 yen/kWh, gasoline, diesel, heavy oil and kerosene 18 yen/L, autogas 13 yen/L, city gas 22 yen/m3, and LP gas 77 yen/m3. Applications opened on March 23, 2026 and close on June 30, 2026; the official portal states online submissions close at 23:59 and mail submissions are valid by postmark. The program may close earlier when the budget limit is reached.
