This program provides subsidies for greening costs of office buildings, commercial facilities, and other structures in Fukuoka City's central business district to create an attractive, flower- and greenery-rich urban environment. Eligible applicants include owners, developers, or those authorized by owners of qualifying buildings (commercial, office, accommodation facilities) located in Fukuoka's downtown core area (centered on Tenjin, Hakata Station, and the port areas). Mandatory greening requirements include minimum 10㎡ of tree/shrub/wall greening for properties under 1,000㎡; properties of 1,000㎡+ must additionally achieve 5% site greening ratio. Optional enhancements include indoor greening and flower gardens. Pre-construction consultation and advance application submission are mandatory; only costs exceeding legally-mandated greening standards are eligible for subsidy. Approval typically takes approximately one month from application, and all greening work must be completed within the fiscal year of application.
