Summary

(1) Overview: Anjo City's own subsidy under the Food, Agriculture and Exchange Promotion Ordinance. It funds initial investment when city farmers first plant fig or Japanese pear. (2) Target: Farmers with fields in Anjo City and qualified agricultural corporations with city fields. The applicant must hold ownership, lease or statutory rights. Self-consumption-only cultivation is excluded. (3) Eligible expenses: New irrigation, trellises, bird/insect/wind nets, saplings, soil improvement, ridge construction and similar setup costs. Machinery excluded. "New cultivation" means planting on a field where neither fig nor pear was grown, or replacing fig with pear (or pear with fig). (4) Rate / cap / schedule: 1/2 of eligible expenses, capped at 1,000,000 yen per entity, requiring at least 5 ares of new planting area. Seedlings must be planted and the application filed within one year of the sapling purchase date. Deadline end-Dec Reiwa 8; submit via any Aichi Chuo JA branch.
