Agricultural Energy-Saving Support Program

① Overview: Hagi City subsidizes inspection, repair, parts replacement, and purchase of machinery to ease rising energy and price burdens on farmers. ② Applicants: Eligible applicants are resident farmers, corporations with a main office in Hagi City, and qualified voluntary groups, all farming in Hagi City. They need at least 30 ares of farmland or agricultural revenue of 500,000 yen or more after 2023, and no municipal tax arrears. ③ Expenses: Eligible costs are tax-exclusive expenses paid from January 1 to December 31, 2026 for riding tractors, rice transplanters, combines, riding control machines, or speed sprayers. Other subsidized costs are excluded. Used machines need at least two years of useful life left. ④ Rate and schedule: The subsidy is up to one-half of eligible expenses, capped at 150,000 yen per farming entity. Applications run from February 2, 2026 to January 29, 2027. Submit forms, payment proof, machinery details, and documents to city offices.
